What exactly is "The Juju Swing"? Why do you teach your students to swing like that?
This video will hopefully help answers those questions and more.
I look forward to working with you!
The Juju swing is a golf swing that I created in 2002. I, like so many of you, was frustrated with the constant search for consistency in my traditional golf swing. When I created this, I had no intentions of teaching it or anything like that. It was simply me searching for a better way. 17 years later, it has changed the lives of many golfers and hopefully I can have the opportunity to help change your golf life as well.
Absolutely! My daughter began using this at a young age and Rick Barry won multiple world long drive championships with this swing when he was in his mid 60s. This swing truly is universal and can help you whether you are old or young, novice or advanced!
This is a common question I receive. The A swing is actually the exact opposite of what I teach. The A swing involves a very aggressive set, early in the backswing. With the Juju Swing, we actually never, quite literally, set our hands going back. What makes people think the 2 swings are similar is the fact that the club head stays outside the hands. How this happens, however, is quite different.
This is the most common question I have received over the years. Jim, similar to the A swing, sets his hands very aggressively and very early. His set does keep the club head outside the hands, which is what causes people to compare it to our swing. The reality, though, is that the 2 swings are actually complete opposites of one another. Jim is a wonderful golfer with a hall of fame career, his swing is just nothing like what we teach.
Of course. Flexibility is obviously a benefit with any golf swing you are attempting. The great thing about our golf swing is that he fundamentals don't change for anyone, regardless of flexibility, age or experience. The only thing that varies from person to person in our golf swing is the total length of the backswing. Each person is built differently and each person's body has limitations that may differ from someone else. Knowing that before we start allows us to perfect the backswing length specifically to you and your physical capabilities!
Simply put...it started out of total frustration from the traditional golf swing. I didn't set out to make something to sell or teach to others. Initially, I was simply trying to fix all of the issues with my own golf swing at the time. Then....it changed....EVERYTHING!
I have been teaching this swing since I created it in 2002. Since that time I have been fortunate enough to set a world record in the long drive world, create a multiple time World Long Drive Champion with NBA Hall of Famer, Rick Barry and help countless students. The name originally was simply, The NO SET swing. The reason we changed it was because of the success and large social media following of my daughter, Juju, after she converted to the swing in 2017. Since then she has become one of the longest female junior golfers to ever touch a golf club and her following has grown in ways we could have never imagined. It was only fitting to change the name to represent her, since so many people converting to this swing are doing so because of her influence in the social media golf world.
