Although there are several ways to hold the golf club, I have my preference for sure. I want to help you fully understand why we hold the club the way we do and how it enhances the performance of your swing for both speed AND control!
Due to the nature of our backswing, there are some key edits I want to help you put into your setup. In great detail I will guide you through the proper posture, distance from the ball, weight distribution and everything else you will need to know about how to most effectively setup up to the golf ball.
Every aspect of the swing is important, but our entire swing breaks down if we don't get to step 1 properly. This is the step that I encourage you to spend the MOST time on. Once you can break the habit of years of setting the club going back, the freedom you will feel going back is beyond refreshing and offers such a sense of relief! When creating this swing I spent 6 weeks making sure I could do this perfectly. Due to that work, I haven't thought about a backswing in 19 years!
If we can learn how to change direction from step 1, then learning how to do it on a full swing becomes very simple. I always want to build from small to big....from slow to fast. It's the ideal way to crush old habits so they never come back!
This is the one aspect that will vary from player to player. Due to flexibility, body types, injuries, etc. this position will vary when it comes to length. Your step 2 is the end of your backswing and I will do all I can to help you find your personal best step 2 position!
One of the most common statements I hear is how smooth Juju looks when swinging the club. The hip bump is a major key to that fluidity. It is the key ingredient that allows us to seamlessly go from backswing to downswing. If you can fully perfect this move, our already increased angles and lag will be further enhanced!
My goal as an instructor is to teach every student I work with how to be "quiet" in transition. If you can visualize how Steph Curry shoots a 3-pointer or how effortlessly Patrick Mahomes throws a pass, then you can visualize how calm and tension free I want you to be in transition. My entire teaching career has been filled with teaching people how to stop trying to hit it hard from the top and this Membership site will be no different!
Ironically some of the biggest loss of power for most people happens when they are coming down trying to hit the ball. I want to teach you how to maximize speed in your swing, rather than trying to "hit the ball hard". My goal is to teach you how to completely understand how and where to produce the fastest speed possible in the downswing, with the least amount of effort.
I am a firm believer that speed comes from the elbows down. However, power comes from the legs. If you put the two together then the combination can be completely life changing for your golf game. "Push and Clear" is an accurate description of what I will teach you regarding your legs in the downswing.
Unfortunately most amateur golfers are quite lost at impact. I want to show you what we want to feel at impact as well as how we use our hands to help dictate both right to left and left to right golf shots.
The hands are connected to the club. I am going to show you how we create so much speed with our release as well as how we use our hands to help dictate both right to left and left to right golf shots.
The finish might be the most underrated part of the golf swing. The finish is not only vital in helping you strike the ball properly, but in my opinion it is one of the easiest ways for you to self-diagnose what might have gone wrong in a shot. I want to teach you how to study and feel your own finish in order to help you help yourself!
In addition to the complete road map, I am going to be adding videos for every section that will help get you back on track when things go off kilter. Over 19 years I have found a handful of things that could potentially happen. I want to help you identify them and get you right back on the path.
